Australia's "The Embassy" Show ?

Featured Replies

How do you watch in Thailand ?

It is meant to be some reality show shot here in the Aussie Embassy of people in trouble in Channel 9.

Trust the Murdoch corporation to be shooting some daft reality show.

I watched it last night, for the first time.

Missed the first episode as I was in Thailand.

Mate of mine here on the Forum gave me a heads up.

Maybe ask one of the computer guys can make your IP 'appear' as if it's in Australia and then watch it on the Catch Up.

The Lassie from the Australian Embassy really needs a visit from Jenny Craig.

.

I've watched the first two episodes here in Oz, actually not bad. Follows Consular staff and how they deal with citizens issues in Thailand. A mix of naivety, real problems (baby died whilst on holiday from a virus and wanted to repatriate baby to Oz for burial), the stupidity of some, such as no medical insurance, consquences and outcomes.

It's been great for embassy tips and tricks. They have given away some very handy inside information ;)

30 Aussies a week or 700 a year get marriage docs signed in the embassy. Monday being the busiest day for this and majority Aus males by a long way as opposed to Aus females.

Would be hard working there for someone like me.

I'd likely have to slap a few idiots that end up in the stupidest situations.

Maybe if it's not against forum rules we can start a chat group about tips at the Aus embassy?

If you don't know how to find something yourself on you tube why dont you ring up the embassy and see if they can help.

Moved to Pub.

Must see for Aussies living in and for visitors to Thailand. Great stuff. Congrats to the aus embassy staff for the work they do.

Maybe try searching for embassy S01E01 ....

Which says only viewable in Australia on the screen.

Which is why, earlier in the thread I posted ...

Jump in from Ch 9 using your favourite DNS.

Don't forget to set your laptop to an australian time zone. One of the tricks they use to stop you watching.

Good show... among other things it reinforces why not to overstay, but I don't think it will make it to AustraliaPlus anytime soon.

There's a torrent for it.

Just watched it. The staff seemed super nice and helpful, getting the guy out of jail and helping the lovestruck young man on overstay leave without problem. Wonder if they're like that when the cameras aren't there.
