Commerce
Funny though, how they always seem to gravitate towards Pattaya or Phuket. Must be the entertainment factor? Bienvenida senor Luis.. Adios more like, he'll be on a flight back soon. Shame they can't catch the 2 to 12 THAI conmen we are all continually reading about in the main headlines.
Popular Post jaltsc
"Pol.Col.Chengron said that Thai police were notified by Spanish police officers to arrest Mr.LuisBatlle who traveled to Thailand without permission." He should have been aware that he could not enter Thailand if he was going to conduct any business which would compete with Thai nationals who could perform the same tasks. The one skill that Thailand does not need to import is that of conning other people. Plus, he would have looked utterly ridiculous in a tight dress, uttering "I rove you forever" to every strange man that walked past him. Popular Post Lobo4819
No real sleuth work on the part of the Thai authorities, just answered the telephone and popped him when his flight landed. Doesn't matter - there was a tremendous opportunity for a photo op and a headline.

hansgruber
Why so many police needed to make this statement. The first paragraph is just their names and titles. I thought it would never end and it makes up for more than half the story. Edited November 1, 2014 by hansgruber
Popular Post Roota
No real sleuth work on the part of the Thai authorities, just answered the telephone and popped him when his flight landed. Really. I mean, I don't know why they even bother, with all the keyboard sleuths hard at work here. As a fellow journo friend of mine is fond of saying, if you think the RTP are a pack of incompetent fools, just commit a serious crime here and see how long it takes for them to come knocking. You might just be surprised.

"cannot catch" because not their jurisdiction it's up to HK, Laos, etc police.... they won't either because, despite the democrat led government trumpeting an arrest warrant turned out Interpol never issued one. explaining that Thaksin’s case did not meet the requirements for it. If you are going to make anti-Thaksin quips at every opportunity to make yourself look clever at least try to get informed. Popular Post firestar
really necessary for the title 'farang con man caught in thailand' in the thaivisa newsletter? Click bait. 'farang' will get more page views than French, Spanish, German..... TV are experts at it, which is why we get all these 'crack down' and 'farang' titles even when the original article is worded differently.

edg
Must be a slow day at the BIB head office that police generals are photo opp with a petty criminal.... These criminals need to be exposed for what they are, I'm quite certain if you were one of the 5,000 people who he robbed you would not be so nonchalant about it unless you're so rich that 500 Euros is just peanuts to you and you can afford to lose or throw away money every day. VillageIdiot
Must be a slow day at the BIB head office that police generals are photo opp with a petty criminal.... They can't win with people like you can they - if guys like this go around ripping people off unchecked you'll whinge the police are doing nothing - when they catch them you whinge they've got nothing better to do !! Agreed...TITV. There is much to legitimately find fault with here in Thailand, but the criticism on this forum is often mindless.
