PATTAYA: -- On Thursday afternoon, Chonburi Police announced the arrest of a 50 year old man and his 16 year old Son, who were alleged to have murdered the Husband and Wife owners of a Seafood Restaurant following a Burglary which went horribly wrong.

Police Major General Tanaet, the Acting Commissioner of Region 2 Police led a press conference at Chonburi Provincial Police Headquarters and announced the arrest of the suspects. The 16 year old boy could not be identified for legal reasons and was not present at the press conference.

Khun Sontaya and his son are alleged to have murdered Khun Nittipon aged 47 and his wife Khun Bejamart aged 46 at the Monkey Seafood Restaurant in the Angsira area close to Chonburi City.

Khun Sontaya, a former employee of the Restaurant, had planned to commit a burglary at the location with his son. Both entered the location in the early hours of 3rd November but made enough noise to wake-up the owners, who confronted the assailants and a fight ensued. During the fracas, a wooden stick was allegedly used to strike the restaurant owners repeatedly across their heads until they died.

Father and son arrested for allegedly killing their employers

11-6-2014-9-27-16-PM-wpcf_728x413.jpg

CHONBURI: -- A former employee of a seafood restaurant in Chon Buri township and his 17-year old son have been arrested in Samut Prakan Tuesday night for allegedly killing his two employers.

Mr Nitiphon Thongprasit, 50, and his common law wife, Mrs Benjamart Musikapart, 46, who owned the Monkey seafood restaurant on the beach road in Bang Saen were found dead in their restaurant on November 2.

Police suspected that the couple might have been killed by their two former employees, SonthayaKongdee and his son, who were recently fired from the restaurant.

Sonthaya told the police that he was angry with his two employers for expelling him and his son out of the restaurant and for refusing to accept his wife to work in the restaurant.

He said further that on the night of November 1 he and his son broke into the restaurant to look for money but Nitiphon got up and got into a fight with the two of them so he used a hammer to smash his head and used the same tool to attack MrsBenjamart.

The father and son escaped with about 100,000 baht in cash and two smart phones.

Solving murders is a relatively simple matter in Thailand. Canvass for people who knew the victims-find out who has just vacated the area

I think applying this logic could have solved Koh Tao problem very quickly..

Did these 2 murderers vacate the area?

Interesting how many posters refer to these two "alleged" murderers and have them hung drawn and quartered already.

Yet when a farang kiddy fiddler is on TV many posters jump to their defence and carry on about they have only been charged. not found guilty etc. They aren't a paedophile as they boy was twelve...to be a paedophile the child has to be pre-pubescent etc etc.

Quality Expats? Quality posters? Quality tourists? Hmmmmm

I suspect many members already know the answers to these questions.
