What to do with my car...

Due to an unplanned relocation in Europe, I need to find a solution for my car. The car is quite new and has less than a year. There's a credit on it and we discovered we cannot sell the car during the first year.

So, I will need to find a solution :
- find a place to store my car. But can they take care of it, and start the engines sometimes? Do they have insurance in case of fire, stole
- rent my car to somebody, so it can pay the credit. But how can I protect myself in case of accidents, damages, robbery etc? Can I find a company to take care of that for me?

Or do you see any other solution in that case?

Thanks by advance, great day everyone :)

My question is for people in Bagkok AND in Pattaya. I'm looking for solutions in Bangkok, and in Pattaya, to make my choice. I presume companies will not be the same in both cases.

So, how can I do that, if not asking in both forums?

In Pattaya, a very good storage facility can be found at Pattaya U-Store:

The owner, Lee, takes his responsibilities very seriously, All the services you query, and they have on-site security 24/7. They will also start your car regularly.

We stored household goods with him for two years and it was fine.

And don't fret about the owner tooling about in your car while you are away. He's been driving his red-plated, imported Merc to work for a couple of years already.

Are we thinking of the same place? Pattaya U Store is off Highway 7 near the crocodile farm. The owner, Wuth Lee, a Khmer American, has driven a large BMW sedan for as long as I have known him. No idea on the plates.

I think you have bad info on not being able to sell the car or maybe just misunderstand. I remember with the new car rebate, people were saying that you need to have the car for at lest one year to remain eligible.

I am considering renting a car for a few months, so maybe we can reach a deal, then I can sell it for you at the end?

BKK Based.

What finance company do you have? What car is it...if you want it sold PM me with a price, spec's and photo's and I might be able to buy it from you and clear the thing with the finance company. If you have TISCO, KBANK, SCB, KTB or Thanachart then I have Personal Contacts i can talk too.

I hope you get it sorted out... stuff like that can be stressful...

Who discovered you cant sell it... I dont mean to be crass, but I have been witness to a Thai taking medical advice from an idiot, instead of listening to Doctors...

Find out for yourself, talk to the banks... You may find a true statement from the bank or finance company... They may have facilities to assist in the sale...

Due your due diligence before listening to anything on the grape vine.....

Hi everyone

Thanks for all your reply.

The best solution indeed will be to sell. I could sort it out and yes, I can sell the car (but not transfer the credit). If I cannot sell I will try to park it somewhere.

The car is a Nissan Sylphy 1.6 SV , Sport Limited Edition, with a lot of options:
- Nissan Navigation Suite (GPS Speed Navy, upgraded to 2014, Map in English, can switch in Thai).
- DVD player
- Radio + TV
- Rear Camera (very nice for car park)
- 2 sensors behind
- Metallic door floor protection
- Rain Protection on the top of the 4 windows
- 3M glass film
- Trunk floor protection

I doubt anybody has the came car in Thailand.

The car was bought new for 900,000 Baht in February 2014. Today the car has only 9,000 km and I used only E20. With Nissan Guaranty of course, and first class insurance available until February 2015.

I sell 800,000 Baht or any decent price.

Here is the link :

I will post the add in the classified, I hope the OP will let this post here, or allow me to find a way to give you a link to the coming add.

Thanks and have a great evening everyone. Edited by BigDaddy66
