Isaan Girls (and guys) More Fit Than Central and South

Hi everyone...

For the past few years ive pretty much stayed in BKK and a few places in the southern region(hadyai, phuket, nakhon si thammarat).

I never ventured into Isaan aside from a visa run which really doesnt count. This time I stayed a few nights in each Udon and Khon Kaen.

It may have just been me but the people in Isaan seemed look more athletic, fit, leaner and muscular. Yes you have some that are skinny or fatter, but was surpised to see this.

For example in BKK and south, the girls tend to be skinnier but not necessarily leaner. It was more of a soft skinny fat type.

In Khon Khaen...the girls legs looked much stronger and even their calves and arms had a bit of muscle.

It seemed like that too with the general people there.

I noticed moreso a bit in Khon Kaen than Udon (not sure why...maybe im just crazy) but both places were like this.

It could be just me due to the fact that ive never been to Isaan until recently.

This is just one of those crazy observations i noticed while strolling around.

......Historically poorer region so less cash to spend on junk food which has arrived more recently? The native Esaan diet more healthy? Agricultural genes? Im tempted to suggest that those who are ethnically Laos are genetically fitter as I learned that until the Vietnam war there were no roads in Laos and people mostly walked between villages. Much of Esaan was, I believe, part of Laos, until early 1900's, so was probably similarly undeveloped. However, when visiting Laos it seemed to me that most of the girls were short and quite 'stocky' with more 'chunky' legs than most Thai Esaan girls.

..........More sex perhaps?

No disrespect intended to anyone, and for 8 years I've enjoyed the company of a lovely 'fit' Esaan partner.

Hummmmm...

People in the country are healthier than people in the city?

I have never heard of anyone moving to the city for their health.

There are always exceptions and factors like poverty and diet,

but, in general, I think the world over...

country life is healthier than city life.
