Need MP3 advice; nothing found at KSK

Want to buy an MP3 player for upcoming long airflight. Found only smartphones at KadSuanKaew, no merchant there had or knew of MP3 players. Any ideas where to look.

Possible alternative idea would be an old cheap.smartphone which could store and play music. Would this work? I'm not interested in smartphone as such, only the music for listening.

I also struggled to find an MP3 player. I bought one online (cheap sandisk) but it did not work! I think that the penetration of smart phones has rendered MP3s almost obsolete. You can get a cheap iMobile phone. I bought my wife an

i-mobile i-STYLE 2.6 for about 2600 baht. It is android, and a nice little phone that plays music well. You will need to add a small flash card to store a reasonable amount of music. Hope this helps.

I bought an Ipod shuffle from "Siam TV" a few months ago:

As some of the reviews say, the after purchase support is not that good so keep that in mind but it was the only place I could find mp3 players after going to KSK, Airport Plaza and Tesco.

I also don't expect any problems (and haven't had any problems) from an ipod shuffle anyway.

At the time they also had sony Mp3 players and perhaps the SanClip.

Otherwise there is always Lazada online which is said to be reliable but I prefer to see my product in hand.

It seems that the best way to buy an mp3 player these days is to buy a phone. I bought a cheap IQ mobile (490 Baht) plus less than 200 Baht for a 2 GB memory card. It is an excellent but basic mp3 player.

A cheap smart phone would probably give you an mp3 player with more options (play lists, shuffle etc.) and the option of loading several good books onto the phone if you are into reading.

Before I bought a smart phone I said I don't need a smart phone to access the internet because I use my computer. How wrong I was! If you have WiFi in your home you can use the phone as a radio. I use TuneIn to listen to Australian radio all the time.

My little lap top does all that. I've got hundreds of MP3 music there, as well as about 20 'hear a books'.

Just put on the ear phones and enjoy. Turn the screen down to save the battery, or recharge if your seat has an outlet.

They sell mp3 players in KSK in the Apple store, ground floor: ipod nano, touch and maybe shuffle. Sound quality from a cheap phone will be poor.

195 results in the "MP3 Players and iPods" section of lazada.co.th.

I've found them to be very easy to purchase from, reliable, and quick shipping (usually 3 or 4 days).

If you head toward the river from KSK, as soon as you get on the outside of the moat, turn into the first computer plaza. They have mp3 players there for cheap prices, or at least they did six months ago.

I tried the little square iPod shuffle and didn't like it because there was no screen to give me any info. Since then I have bought two MP3 Sony Walkman players from the Sony shop in Airport Plaza and found them filled me need nicely.

The third computer Plaza on the moat road leading away from Chiang Mai RAM, and the KSK area should have some still for sale--if not, as has been said, try Lazada or Invade IT online.
