Tyre liners/kevla inserts in chiang mai

Featured Replies

Hey guys, gotten to the point where im getting a flat (small single puncture, tread side) almost every time i go for a ride, anyone know where i can get some kevla inserts or liners?

Dont want to get new tyres just yet if it can be avoided, im pissing off back home in 6 weeks but need the bike working as its my only way of getting around

are they tubeless? if not can try convert to tubeless, most bike shops should be able to do it for you fairly cheaply, 1500-2000 baht.

Cost of Scwhalbe Marathon Plus here are not bad, kevlar liners aren't far off the price - I would go for the Marahon Plus and keep the other tyres for spar

i asked my local bike shop (numchai in banglamung) if he could order some schwalb,,,my road bike and he said they were always out of stock when he tried. so if anyone knows where i can get some (700x23/25) i would be grateful to them ,thanks.

For the OP, most shops have some used tyres lying around which may suit your purposes and be a cheap alternative.

Regarding the Schwalbe Marathons, these range of tyres are primarily for touring/load carrying, so very rare in the 700x23/25. [probably only the HS420's]. Even then, they're fairly heavy, nearly twice the weight of comparable and hefty Schwalbe Durano DD's. Probably only going to get them special order online.
