Has anyone tried the buffet at the Hotel on Friday? What is the price?

Siam@Siam is undoubtedly offering an excellent range of buffet items and the price is laughably low at B. 555 net/person for barbecue only (at that price definitely ha-ha-ha!) and B 799 net/person inclusive of unlimited free flow wine. -

Went to the rooftop bar and restaurant on top of Siam@Siam last night. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and the wife ordered Kaeng Som. This was not an easy task as the waitress replied "HUH?" to most of what my wife said to her (my (Thai) wife speaks Thai quite well so language is not the reason).

While waiting for the food (which took 40 minutes to arrive and nearly had me cancel and leave) I had two small Heineken. When ordering the second beer instead of bringing me a new glass she brought the can out and refilled my glass at the table.

When the food finally arrived the French Fries that accompanied my sandwich were downright cold. The sandwich itself was OK but the Kaeng Som the missus ordered was not very good.

All in all a very negative experience and despite the great view I won't be going back.
