Dolores O'Riordan: Cranberries singer arrested over flight assaults

(BBC) The lead singer of Irish band The Cranberries has been arrested following an alleged double assault on a flight from the US to the Republic of Ireland.

Dolores O'Riordan was detained after an air hostess was reportedly attacked on an Aer Lingus flight from New York to Shannon, County Clare, on Monday.

Irish police were called to meet the aircraft and during the course of the arrest, a policeman was also assaulted.

The air hostess was taken to hospital but the officer was not seriously hurt.

WOW, an not an English airline ...............whistling.gif

Why are you so surprised?

Most airlines have zero tolerance towards violent passengers these days.

I know of a billionaire who was dragged off an aircraft and subsequently fined for assaulting a stewardess.

I don't need to be an Irishman to start a fight aboard a flight.

I am (xxxcensoredxxx), and on my most recent flight, I stubbed the guy and his wife next to me for being blatantly rude.

The flight attendants expressed their understanding for my actions.

some A....holes just deserve no better.

They probably kept playing that inane pop song of a woman singing

in your heaaaadddd

over and over again and it drove her mad. She wouldn't have been the first.

Once when boarding an Air Asia flight they continuously played this song where some guy kept repeating

I got the moves of Jagger

It gave me a new perspective on air rage.

Good clip of Beyonce, she's obviously medicated, nothing mysterious about that.

I remember the Cranberries video from the mid 90's where this girl looked like she was trying to fling a booger off her finger.

Funny, what you remember....

released by police

She assaults and injures a crew member during the flight, and assaults a policeman ... and then she's set free with no charges? I should move to Ireland. Hmmm, on second thought, maybe not.

I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about. But don't bother trying to explain. It's hard to comprehend such a brilliant mind as yours.

Yes, the very rich never break the law or act privileged or superior to others. Absolutely shocking!!!

Is this another "alcohol may have been involved " stories ?

Funny that you never read a story about violent outbreaks, assault, property damage or murder that says " pot may have been involved ".
