I know something similar was asked recently, but I cannot find the thread.

I am currently in Samui on second entry of triple entry tourist visa, which ends 8th December. Need to visit somewhere outside Thailand for a few days before returning here on my third entry?

Thinking Singapore, KL, or Hong Kong.

Which of the three would you suggest as I have never visited any of them. Somewhere else?

Which would be best for buying Apple products?

Thank you.

On second thought....are you looking for help on where to get the visa or just asking about where to visit?

If it's the first, then I think this is better off in the visa forum. If the second, then we can help you here in the travel forum!

I'll start off with the second part. Hong Kong is a great city to visit. IMHO, one of the most beautiful waterfront cities in the world. And has great shopping.

So does Singapore and I'm guessing KL would have what you are looking for also. But from a tourists point of view, I'd lean towards HK.

Yes, I already have a triple entry visa thanks. I am just looking for suggestions, or recommendations on what would be a nice place to visit for a few days before activating

my final visa entry...And to try and buy an iPad Air 2 wifi + cellular as I can only seem to find wifi only versions here in Thailand so far.

That's why I wondered which place might be best for buying Apple products. Will check out flights to both HK and SG.

Made the decision to go to HK for three, maybe four days. Going to try and book that YMCA Salisbury TST as suggested by phuketrichard. Gets good write ups on TripAdvisor.

Thanks guys for the input.

Any suggestions on what to see in my limited time, good restaurants etc. much appreciated.

P.S. Just been told there is a big Marks & Spencer's there, so might even managed to get some UK food items for Christmas. :-)

For nostalgia, take the Star ferry. Visit The Peak. Cruising up the peak is a great experience...if the weather is good!

Stanley market is fun, if nothing else for the ride over. If you are into gambling, Macau is not too far away.

A boat cruise around the harbor on the island is pretty fun. And there are many different markets there that happen at various times during the week. Night market, ladies market, flower market, etc.

I say Hong Kong as it offers something for everyone, good transport systems. buy a Octopus card at the airport to avoid all little coins in the pocket, Yes it has a M&S on HK island
