Rimmer Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Leaking since 2010, water pipe finally repaired by Pattaya City Hall PATTAYA:--Eight months after the Pattaya Mail first reported it and nearly five years after it broke, a leaking water pipe on Pratamnak Soi 5 finally has been fixed. Sutat Nuspan, water-supply manager for Banglamung District, actually pledged to fix the cap on a standpipe outside Ruamchok Condo View 2 on Aug. 19, yet it still took until Nov. 5 for workers to actually show up. The exceedingly difficult and complex repair job that took since 2010 to resolve? Workers had to rethread the cap fitting and secure the pipe with concrete. The broken pipe first earned Pattaya Mail headlines in March after Australian expat Roy Albiston, 63, calculated that the standpipe had been leaking an estimated 1.3 million liters of water a year since a fire damaged it in 2010. He said he’d contacted city hall several times but nothing was done until a Pattaya Mail reporter brought Sutat photos to see himself. - See more at: http://www.pattayamail.com/localnews/leaking-since-2010-water-pipe-finally-repaired-by-pattaya-city-hall-42769#sthash.fcpAcmQc.dpuf -- Pattaya Mail 2014-11-14 1 "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!" somchaismith Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 So, Roy Albiston is 63. Could they tell us something more important such as his shoe size as then we will be able to give him a set of waders for any future flooding by broken water pipes?
Commogwinto Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 While they're at it, they could try fixing the water leak outside of 'Gecko' on Suk, been pissing out water for months, maybe years????

Heng Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 If you contact the national contact page of the Provincial Water Authority and complain through their contact page, it's a lot faster (as in 1-2 weeks in my experience and I live on Pratumnak as well). It probably gives some 'big cheese' the opportunity to actually do something.... which is pee on some 'smaller cheese' in the provinces. The smaller cheese, no doubt wanting to stop this pee stream, gets the oompa loompas out to fix the water leak. Sorted.
