I haven't seen anything about it in the Chiang Mai news. I assume if the man has been in Chiang Mai for years some people must have known him. No name is given, and I can't help but wonder if I knew him.

That's not a lot of money to someone whose been successful financially. For this guy it seems possible it might have been all he had though.
