Hi, anyone else having problems with intermittent picture break up on CTH. Specifically channels 65, 66 and 188?

Just had satellite technician check everything but he could find no faults.

Its the weather causing the problems.

As noted above ch 188 (Sky News) seems to be the worst.

Thanks for reply-problem is not weather related - it happens whatever the weather. I am well aware of rain/weather outages that happen from time to time

The weather outage could be on transfer from another sat to ground to Thaicom for CTH broadcast so might not have anything to do with your local weather. Depending on path there are also the twice a year sun in line with sat/land station noise outages that effect such communications - both to your home and any relay stations.

Yes, I think that you right-I will just have to live with it. Presumably every other CTH subscriber is just putting up with it. Surely I cannot be the only one with this problem. By the way this is not a CTH bashing thread, all other aspects of their service is great. I am just relieved that the premier league channels are fine.

Not sure which channels those are but I have a problem with most of the GMM channels on cth like football plus, club channel etc. Picture is awful even when smooth but also it breaks up very frequently. I am fairly sure it's not a problem on my end because most of the other channels are fine.

Hi Martin, your description of the problems is exactly the same as mine. Must be a problem at Cth's end. I am surprised that more subscribers are not making a fuss about it.

Yes it does look like it is the gmm channels that are flakey

I have GMM too and just lately have been getting picture breakup and poor sound but only for short periods. I was told it was sun outage and would be over soon.
