Samui tourism not yet affected by bird flu issues

The President of the Tourism Association of Samui Island, Mr. Senee Phuvasetthavorn (เสนีย์ ภูวเศรษฐถาวร), stated that the current bird flu situation has not yet affected the tourism on the island.

Mr. Senee said the number of international tourists has not declined despite the news of the recent outbreak of avian influenza in many areas of Thailand. He disclosed that tourists are still visiting Samui as normal and believes that concerned agencies will be able to handle the situation. He has urged related agencies to speed up in solving the problems before it affects the tourism of the country.

The President of the Tourism Association of Samui added that the operators of the accommodations on the island will be informed to create good understanding regarding bird flu situation with the tourists.

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

BUT if one case is "reported" on Samui, then beleive me there will be a lot of tourists that will find another place to go!

They won't take the chance, only the single traveler, thats been here before might not give a danm!

IMHO that is.
