I'm not a big fan of Microsoft but even I'd consider buying a Surface for that price. Last week I played around with the latest one for sale and I was impressed with its quality. The 600 pound plus (30,000 baht) price tag put me off though.

I'd rather buy a Surface than an iPad or cheap Android tablet. That thing will last and has the added bonus of a keyboard dock.

The RT is definitely not the same as the Surface 3. The Surface 3 is a tablet that competes with a laptop. It basically runs any software you can put on a PC. The RT has a completely different processor and is incompatible with ordinary software. You must download apps from the Microsoft store. There are far fewer apps than you would find for Apple products.

I bought an RT last December. Recognizing its limitations, it has given me value for money. It comes with Microsoft Office and OneNote. I've been able to work on documents (Word, Excel, etc.) interchangeably with my desktop. I can also use its USB port to transfer data when WiFi is not available. I use it mostly as a news reader. It was invaluable for watching movies during my recent hospital stay.

I have one and its pretty good. The lack of apps is a little annoying, but I can watch most movies on it via USB as well as Netflix, ILikeHD etc. I do work on it at home using Office. The battery life is good and its light.

The touchcover keyboard is ok for light use, but if you will do a lot of typing then the typecover one is better.

Harry's right. I went to IT City Tukcom Pattya today, Mai Mee (no have) finish. But they do have, but I had to order, available in 2-3 Days. Need a copy of my sons School I.D..

So presumably any Childs School I.D. will do as they only want a copy.

Despite the negative reviews on here about this product, I looked at a few reviews on You Tube and they seemed to be mostly positive, for this version which has now been upgraded to Windows 8.1.

Anyway I'll give it a punt for the price. Priced it elsewhere in Banana and JJB and was quoted 14,500. I forgot to ask whether it was with the Touchcover (keyboard) or not.

The surface great product. The lower priced ones are not the same as a pc but they run a full copy of microsoft office (included) and used with the cloud storage work well for general work and great for music and Videos. If you need to run full windows programs you need the higher priced versions which carry a premium in price over equivalent notebooks because of the size and portability but have good performance.

THis is a good deal and one of the best things is that if you do have to run heavy duty programs you can run them on the home pc and use the RemoteDesktop to run the PC programs if you have a wifi or internet connection.
