Sell the gf,buy the car,lot more reliable and 5 year warranty.

Agreed to buy an old car. Went to Immig office with psprt, photos, housing lease receipt, Immig Form, cash. Enough for Res/Cert. Went to Land Office to change over ownership, no problems. 5 days later had blue book.

All's well that ends well. I'm the proud owner of a brand new yellow house book now which served as proof of address needed for registering the new car in my name. G/f's role was crucial in the whole process as Puuyabaan is a uncle of hers and lady in charge at Amphoe one of her best friends :-)
