As someone who hates the very idea of orphanages and believes money could be better spent paying people to foster orphans, I have to say this girl probably did the right thing.

I did just recently watch that show on American TV. I doubt the child really has any understanding or comprehension of that kardashian clan. I can't say what would be best for the child. Probably more opportunities would exist in America. But who would guide or counsel the child? She doesn't speak English yet, but is still young enough for her to pick it up easier than us old folks can pick up a language.

Sure there are very happy lower class people in Thailand and we could all learn a lot from their coping skills but there are also vast numbers of bitterness and stoic suffering.

So you think at the age of 12, not 3, she will go to USA, become a child wonder, suddenly speak fluent English by the age of 18, and go to Yale or Harvard or Caltech or Stanford, when she'd be missing home, the simplicities of life, but suddenly become happy as she's into a rich family? If this young lass was bitter, she would not have considered her refusal. Some people just don't get that one can be happy with the cards life deals. She isn't a baby, most of her learning is completed, and she will learn to live in peace with herself. And, I'm sure, her nobility will gather her much support from within Thailand than any recognition she would get for being another adoptee by a couple who can't have kids and decide to buy them, for publicity's sake!

Coping skills? How about life is life skills. Stop judging with a Western attitude, about something you seem to not understand. She isn't coping, she is DEALING with her issues, if she has any. There's a huge difference between coping with something and dealing with it. Give her her due.

I feel the need to comment but what a piece of "reality TV" toss. Anything to keep the ratings up and not a thought about the people affected by it. Kardashian and Paris Hilton should be left on a desert island.

Seems there is a bit of competition between various celebs to find out of the way places to adopt a child. "Oh, I got mine from wherever". Possibly some real feeling there but more likely one upmanship.

The name was mentioned several times, and even the Manager of the Resort was seen in the episodes. If they did not get the entire stay for free, they would never have seen Thailand.

I don't think it would have been the Chompoo's choice, after all, her mum was with her at the time. The only reason she's in the home is because her mum is poor and getting the best education she can for her daughter, this doesn't mean she's available for adoption for Buddha's sake. I don't think any home or adoption agency would allow a child to go with the fat bint Kardashian mainly because of her unstable and violent husband Kanye "fishsticks" West.

Her mother placed her there as a way of getting cheap childcare. She was not abandoned and remains her mother's daughter. read the link to the expaned story please.
