IPTV, Expat TV (2014)

Featured Replies

Been reading up on some of these services. Thinking of getting something to watch HD and UK tv.

Is the pic quality, and streaming from these services any better than trying to stream say, BBC iPlayer through a VPN?

Any recommendations on what to get here in Samui?

Saw one company Expat Tv Asia, (mrskytv.com) that ships a Mag-250 Informir set top box. Anyone dealt with them? Any good?

Have read a lot of threads on here this am, going back to 2011, but hoping for more up to date info.

Thanks.

And do you know if the chrome usb stick or amazon usb stick are good solutions? Do they allow send a file from your computer to the TV (and not from internet as internet doggy for me)

thanks :)

Yes I have thai expat telly

It is better than doing through a vpn

Plus you get 7 days of history to watch so you can watch all of last weeks programs

If have slow internet it can be annoying

Moved to Audio visual.

I've been a customer of ThaiExpatTV https://www.thaiexpat.tv/ almost since day one.

Quality is excellent (better than BBC iPlayer), if your net connection can average better than 2-3Mbs it will work well with no buffering, I've had it working satisfactorily on hotel connections of 1Mbs (you have to pause it to let the buffer build up if on slow connections).
