Pull-ups in Hang Dong

Featured Replies

What's the best place for pull-ups and other athletic exercises near Hang Dong? (more specifically near Makro and BigC)

You could always get a steel bar, some chain or rope, some bolts, and fashion one where you are. Not a terribly complicated or esoteric piece of equipment.

Hm, I'll check with landlord if she allows me to do this. Meanwhile, I'd also appreciate a real gym with more equipment. Do you know of any?

there's a gym soon to open in Kad Falang

Yes as I reported earlier in another thread there is a banner hanging of the building regarding a gym opening but I did not notice the name.If anyone is passing they might get a phone no or even better a web site

Sparkles, could you please tell where exactly did you see the banner? I can drive there and take note of the info.

I made a portable pullup rig out of rope and PVC piping. You can hang it from any steel structure like a car port. You buy PVC piping that is about 3 cm in diameter and cut it to length about 15-20cm for the grip. Using a thick rope will relieve stress on the edges of the pipe. The one I've made has lasted over a year. Unlike a bar, you have to use a close grip but I can't see any real benefit to training with a wide grip. Your back gets beefy just the same!
