Hello, and thanks in advance for your help.

Has anyone traveled with Thai Lion Air? (http://www.lionairthai.com/en/)

Their luggage policy is not obvious. I booked a ticket online, and there is no questions/webpage (unlike on Air Asia website for example) about their policy for checked in luggage. I have managed to book for a cheap ticket Phuket to BKK (not paid yet), but no mention whatsoever of how much checked in luggage I can take (how many pieces, what weight). Does anyone have any info regarding this? Or know how to find out? (I called their call center, but no one picks the call).

Thank you.

for excess weight

I see, thanks Rick.

Do you know how many kgs I can take as a carry on luggage? The thing is from BKK I then take a flight to Zurich with Finnair, and there I can have like 20 or 22kgs checked in luggage, so I wouldn't want to miss that opportunity to have this extra 5 or 7kgs with me.

Thank you.

THAI LION is a subisidiary of LION AIR INDONESIA which is a very dodgy company and disliked by most people of Indo even though they in many cases have no other option as this Airline is the main domestic carrier and usually the cheapest as well. They too have ZERO information on the Indo website regarding luggage, and instead will charge you dearly at the airport when you check in more than 15 KG.

I have more than 30+ flights with them within Indo so I know what I am talking about.

I see thank you.

Would you know in this case how many kgs and pieces they allow as hand luggage?

Thank you.

PS

I assume the 15kgs allowance for checked in luggage is automatically included in the price of the ticket. Is it correct? Thanks.

The luggage info. above is correct.

I did a "test" flight with them recently, as their schedule suited me better. Let's just say I'll stick with AirAsia in future.

Op, scroll to page 2 of the e-ticket they should have emailed to you, shows "Free Baggage Allowance : 15 KG."

Also, on page 3:

"Guests flying on Economy class are allowed a maximum of 15kg on board Thai Lion air flights.
3.0 Cabin Baggage Regulations:
Economy Class Passengers are allowed to bring
up to 7KG with the dimension of 40 cm x 30 cm x
20 cm of hand luggage onboard Thai Lion air
Flights."
