Where to exchange THB into EUR?

Featured Replies

I am leaving Thailand and go to Germany.

I want to exchange thb60k in cash into Euros.

It seems like that Thanachart or UOB has the best exchange rate, but the question remains, do they sell Euros?

Besides that, is it better to exchange my cash in Thailand or in Germany?

An other option, I guess, would be to find someone who would be ready to by my THB with Euro before I leave the country.

What would you suggest?

Thank you for your help.

This one I can answer for sure: in Thailand!

Never never try to change THB in Germany. Awful rate.

If you are in Bangkok then its worth to go for Superrich.

Some reports can be found here:

Yea, change the money in Thailand for sure at a Thai bank or money exchanger like Superrich. You'll get significantly less for your baht outside of Thailand.

Check the rates at SuperRich or Vasu and you will see that "going to the banks" is burning money.

Just go to the banks & check out the rate ........coffee1.gif

Find a European who will exchange their euros with you at the TT mid-point rate. Both parties happy.

Burning money? That's a bit over-dramatic, there will be a small difference in the rate, and whether it is worth the traipsing around and taxi fares is debatable.

Superrich head office is your best bet if in the Bangkok area, most of the others may have to order it.

If you are in Pattaya there is an exchanger upstairs in Tops, bowling alley end, VJ something I think. Their main office is in Walking Street so they can get it fairly quickly.
