When we took it out almost a year ago it was 799 baht for 10 meg connection (rarely that fast) Now they are handing out 30 meg for the same price but they do not upgrade existing customers. Is it best to tell them you will cancel after a year if no upgrade, and if no joy can you cancel then re join on the new terms? Speed is very up and down but 30 meg sounds better than 10 at least.

Just call them up...they may upgrade you over the phone. Usually when your specific price plan drops in price or they offer a higher speed at the same price they will automatically upgrade you after X-months...and X-amounts could be quite a few months so don't assume one or two months. But if you are say on an ADSL plan and the fastest speed to your area/building is still the same as when you got the plan then they may not be able to upgrade you.

Just call them....that's what I've done on my True DOCSIS/cable internet plan a couple times over the years when I saw new prices or plans come out...and they have accomplished the upgrade/price reduction over the phone....usually takes them about 2 to 3 business days to effect the switch.

Assuming you are on a True DOCSIS (cable) plan since you are talking TV also. Since True implemented "bursting" on their DOCSIS around 18 months ago it's typical to get around twice the download speed for short periods...around 30 to 60 seconds which is longer than a typical speedtest. Upload speed is not affected. On my True DOCSIS 15Mb plan I can pull around 30Mb on a local speedtest.

We were upgraded last October from 10mbps to 13mbps for same price of 599THB. 799THB seems a bit high?
