Ever got something for free?

Featured Replies

Was out at a karaoke bar last night after a few beers that were going down smoothly at a nearby restaurant.

Its something odd that i get up to, as the clientele are almost exclusively Japanese. Always a good time and if you get 88 per cent on the score, you get a free beer.

Pretty small place good atmosphere very cheap. They keep your bottle of whiskey for up to a year or your schoju/ whatever and bring it out when you arrive. As my bottle of sangsom was looking a bit sad i noticed a bottle of wild turkey101 imported american bourbon half full on the shelf of the bar, and i spoke to the staff in thai and they asked the japanese owner if i could buy it for 1000 baht.

To my surprise he gave me the bottle for free!

Five hours of long ping later and shouting the two ladies in the bar beers all night, my bill is a mere 2000 bht

So my question to you is, have you ever got anything for free in LOS?

OP, Once or twice a week me and the wife are invited to other peoples houses for dinner or lunch.

We have plenty of food and drinks and all these are free.

We don't usually reciprocate as the wife is working and has no time to prepare meals.

Also I get enough cuddles and kisses from the wife and as she says these are free, not included in the money I give her.

Are these enough freebies for you?

I think you and i lead different lives.

That's quite a story. A free bottle of Sangsom would have surprised me, but Wild Turkey?

Only free thing I ever got in LOS was from here on ThaiVisa, and lots of it, most of it not so good: advice.

Genital warts and NSU.

Edit, I woke up one morning after taking a Madonna lookalike back to the room, woke up with a sore ass, thumping headache and 500 baht stuffed under the pillow.

Charlie, is it not the case that all these freebies are added on to the price of the items you bought? Probably not, but that's what would happen in the UK.

They were all given AFTER i had paid the bill, just before leaving the store.

Nothing is free. You may not pay for it at the time but you will.
