Ah i doubt a shred of what the story says is true, more like they wanted to become ordained as monks but cant speak a word of english, the guy has the monk pali book in front of him. All they have to say is they wanted to become monks. On your way!

To be fair, it seems the police handled this pretty cool; have a chat and bung them in the back of a pickup. If a couple of druggies in a church with knives in the West or in a mosque in the... West, I'm sure there would be sirens, tasers, peashooters, the whole 9 yards.

Maybe you have missed all the wrongdoings of Russian who hang about bars in Pattaya but don't seem to have a daytime job.

I used to love going for a meal down Sukhumvit in Bangkok in the early hours now it's littered by black pimps and their molls....damned if I want to mix with a bunch of drug dealing pimps.....love to know how many of them are here legit.

Expats come here to start a new life or retire but the way it's going unless you want to be an apprentice drug dealer or willie the pimp you might be better choosing another country.

This Army would be good guy cleaned up Sukhumvit during the day by putting a lot of hard working Thais out of a job or at least halving their income but let the russian and african hookers stay...........how messed up is that?

Can't really comment on Muslims other than to say to them us westerners are infadels......they say there are a lot of good Muslim people. How they know that beats me because they keep themselves to themselves hide their wives faces and ignore western people if at all possible.

Blacks Muslims Indian are all the same they form cliques and don't mix with others..........German's, Brit's, Aussies, Yanks, Dutch, Danish etc mix with anyone and everyone.

Is it any surprise people are wary of them?

Yes, and many of them found their way to this forum, particularly to this thread. Thanks god, the most of this keyboard warriors have nothing to say, outside, in the real world. Only small lights.

'High Russian' Suspect Stabs Policeman While In Custody

MAE HONG SON — One of the two Russian men who were arrested for breaking into a temple in northern Thailand on Sunday stabbed a police officer while in custody yesterday, police say.

The suspect, identified as Voge Vladimir (name transcribed from Thai text), was reportedly being led from his holding cell at Pai Police Station to the immigration department when he stabbed Lt. Prasert Puttawong across the head and wrist.

Police officers and the other suspect then tackled Vladimir and held him down, while Lt. Prasert was sent to hospital. Medical workers say his condition is “severe” but gradually improving.

Police say Vladimir’s knife was hidden beneath his clothes, and officers failed to spot it when they searched him after his arrest on 14 December.

Vladimir and his accomplice, Kubik Kachchek (name transcribed from Thai text), were arrested on Sunday after they broke into a temple in the resort town of Pai.

Why are there so many Russian haters ?? Think carefully......

It is not about hating. It is about common sense. Those two individuals do not have it, and besides that they are dangerous. So they must be treated accordingly to their actions. No mercy from my part.
