4 9's bar in Meung Kanchanaburi

Featured Replies

This is my first post on TV although I have been a member for a few years.

Can anyone tell me if the 4 9's/Red Kangaroo bar is still running, I believe it is across the road from The River Kwai Hotel on the main road, I will be staying around this area in January and was wondering if it is still running or any other faring bar around this area as I would prefer to stay in this area rather than going to Mae Nam Kwai Road at night. Thanks in advance.

This bar is no longer operating. Gordon returned to the UK a couple of year's ago.

Back to my original question, is the bar still there or do you know any in the area around the River Kwai Hotel on Sanchuto Road.

I found out the bar was for sale, or did it just shut down, I'm only in Kan for 2 nights and don't really want to go down to "farang road" as I read it called in another post.

I haven't been to Kan for 33 years so thought I'd look it up again.

Thanks

Can't think of another bar there as its on the main road, your only other option is in the River Kwai hotel.

It's closed now, it's a massage shop as far as I recall.
