We went to eat on the 22 December and went to {name removed} in Lamai. We went to {name removed} in lamai and ordered food and drinks. We ordered a thai fondu. When the waiter came with the food and the thai barbecue a cockroach came crawling out of the from the top of the barbecue. The waiter did see it and offered to change it straight away. When the waiter came back with a new top for the barbecue all of us counted at least 5 new cockroaches crawling on to the table on to the food and drinks. We all lost appetite and stood up to leave the restaurant something the waiter and cashier was ok with.
Then the manager came over and asked what the problem was and because he is of french nationality he did not understand the word «cockroach» and did not see any problem with it! He speaks thai and my wife who is thai national explain to him what happened in thai. But he could still not see that there was a problem.
And when we left the manager wanted us to pay for it, but we refused because we had not eaten anything and then he wanted money for the drinks witch was half full. We refused again because the cockroaches did crawl in to the glasses!
Then the manager wanted to phone the police and i asked him to please do that.But he changed his mind and told us that he had lived in Thailand for 20 years and he had powerful people behind him.
And he started to scream after us that we was tourists and we should off back to our country. I did then tell him that i have lived in Thailand for 15 years and just started walking out. He then ran up to a motorbike taxi and asked the taxi driver to attack me for money. Well my wife is thai and explained what happened. And taxi driver understood us and nothing happened.
But what kind of manager of foreign nationality behave like this? Maybe he should have found out and understand what happened instead of making a scene in front of the rest of the costumers? Then trying to threatened us with his power full people and a beating….

To see 1 Roach is bad enough, but to see several means there's an infestation... not good, not good at all.
