Red Cross and winter fair location, schedule

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm planning to take my wife and kids to the Red Cross and winter fair at chiang mai provincial hall, muang district. Does anyone know where this is located? What is the fair like? Does anyone know where I can see a schedule, opening and closing times, etc.?

I fear you will be very disappointed. It's located across from 700 Year Stadium. Same thing every year. Popular with teenagers and kids in their early 20's. Lots of local bands, none very good. Lots of drugs and booze, tattoos and testosterone...always a few fights. There have been a couple of fights over the years that ended up with fatalities - usually from a knife. Other than that, junk food, and of course the annual drawing for a new automobile from the Red Cross.

Schedule? Nah Usually nothing in English to read. Search in Thai. Better yet, go somewhere else for the evening. You will have a much better time elsewhere.

Sadly elektrified is righ sad.png t. Easy to find, just watch out for the trails of blood, red flashing lights and Police paddy wagons. At least two stabbings last night but no fatalities yet AFAIK.,

When I went last year, the bumper cars ride was super fun! ( although very jarring and could be dangerous.)

Was disappointed to not find any other good rides after this one though...

I would agree this fair not a big deal / not in any hurry to go back (although probably in another couple of years)

However worth checking out...

Probably if you go early, would avoid any problems mentioned above...

Yeah the red cross drawing, I do remember as a little fun as well...
