Went to a little town near Chaiyaphum today and noticed the market had a big enclosed cool area for selling meat. Taken me a while to get used to buying meat out in the open air (and not in a shop) but was a pleasant surprise. I had sort of written off buying beef here but noticed a lady with a couple of nice eye fillet pieces. Took them home and cooked them in the pan medium rare and lovely. Not 100% same as Aussie beef but will do me. Was tender and flavoursome. Most beef I bought here before has been pretty tasteless.

Is it the Brahman beasts I see here that they kill for beef?

Found the same here in NBL. I guess without my glasses I thought I was getting pork. When I got home I saw that it was beef. I decided to try it and was pleasantly surprised.
