Will electronic payments in Thailand ever pay off?

Probably no one trusts anyone enough to pay in advance? I mean ordering things online and then expecting it to arrive in the post.

I have telephone banking on my phone and can top up phones, send people money instantly, etc. Recently ordered building materials in Issan middle of nowhere and just sent money to the shops bank account rather than finding an atm, drawing cash, etc. Went in the shop, ordered items, agreed price, sent money to their bank. 5 mins later all done and went home to wait the delivery (cement, sand, etc). Also dealing with Bangkok lawyer; agree everything on Line then send him money to go to court, etc, via telephone or internet banking . Civil case btw!

Is this what you mean?
