PHUKET: -- Police in Patong are looking for a Thai woman, aged between 40 and 50, who is wanted for a spate of thefts in hotels and guest houses along Nanai Rd.

According to Lt Col Khunnadet Na Nongkai, the suspect applied for housekeeping jobs in a series of hotels in Patong, saying she wanted to work regardless of the salary.

Once employed by the hotels, she plundered rooms she was supposed to be cleaning, robbing several in each of the hotels she worked in, before disappearing. It was at this point that the hotels discovered she had given false personal details in her job applications.

Describing the woman as heavy-set with one front tooth missing, police warned hotel managers and guests to be aware that she is out there, and to call the police station if they come across her.
