Does anyone know where (in Pattaya) you can buy a Canon Elph (or equivalent) with an underwater housing ?

Not sure where in Pattaya.

But there are quite a lot of retailers in Bangkok.

The shop in Pantip on the second to top floor seems to have the largest range of housings for consumer cams.

My favourite retailer is Prodive

Well...horses for courses..... depends what you want to do.

If it is a smaller camera and you want to make snappy shots, there there is alot of housings available at many places. These camara's are cheaper, but the results are so-so.

Big housings such as Sea and Sea / Nexus etc can be bough too, but $$$$$..

OK ... a housing that will take any real depth is gonna run around 1000USD +++ Hardly worth spending to house an Elph

however there are some housings you can get for much less but they won't take any depth

Dont know what an Elp is, but assume its a snappy thing. Knew some people with Oly's 5050 which did great job, and housing could go down to about 35m. They are great for fun shots, and some more serious stuff. Shutter lag and macro makes them more difficult to work with though. If you are serious on nice wides or macro....SLR is the only real option.
