Featured Replies

I'll bet in Thailand, soon English teachers will be profiled next..... :o

They already are.

Called by that derivise term: "TELF'ers" :D

What does "derivise" mean?

Don't pick on Boon Mee's typos :D He clearly meant derisive :D

Cheers, sbk

BTW, you should have pointed out it were only your bag they like to search? :D

Were a simple species :o

You mean we have evolved? :o

Yeah thats what i meant :D:D

Nope, .........I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you?

If the US Government took their thumb out of their arse there wouldn't be any need for profiling cause any suspects would have been caught way before they board an airplane.

This whole profiling business is basically an admission that they don't have a clue what's it all about.

if they just stayed out of world affairs they may not be targetted by the terrorists.

:o

It all started with Kennedies´assaasintation, you know?

.....

discuss... or not.

It is all very well to say the word is too PC and that the police have every right to profile who ever they want - but this kind of action has to be taken with due consideration and caution. The Black community in the UK had a very bad relationship with the police two decades ago partly due to aggresive profiling - resulting in a number of riots in the mid 80's. Ive never been stopped and searched by the police in my life, i would be quite shocked if one day i was. The man in the photo, Rt Rev John Sentamu was randomly stopped and searched 8 times in 6 years while working in London!!

Also how excatly do you profile Muslims? A few are easy to pick because of the Islamic style beared, but other than that? Muslims can be of all colours, including white - and there have been enough female suicide bombers (in a number of different conflicts both religious and secular) for women not to be rulled out either!

Profiling works. It's what community-police-work is all about.

Racial profiling is just another prefix. Economical profiling is already done. No difference.
