BANGKOK: -- IN THE INVESTIGATION into the embezzlement of Bt1.5 billion from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Crime Suppression Division (CSD) officers have now turned their focus on a KMITL lecturer.

Apparently, Bt5 million was directly wired from the KMITL account to this lecturer's bank account.

The lecturer initially claimed that former bank manager Songklod Sriprasong had wired the money into the account, so police will ask the lecturer to explain what the money was meant for, CSD deputy chief Nos Sawetlek said yesterday.

Police have also summoned 10 people for additional information as their bank accounts had also received sums from the suspects, Nos said, adding that those providing useful information would be kept as witnesses.

CSD and Immigration police are keeping a close eye out for Kittisak Muttujad, who has been in Hong Kong and was scheduled to return to Thailand yesterday. Suspects Thawatchai Yincharoen and Sompong Sahaporn-udomkarn are believed to be in hiding in Thailand and Nos said they should surrender in the next day or two.

Besides Songklod, other suspects in custody are: former chief of KMITL's finance division Ampon Noisamrit; Poonsak Boonsawat; Jariwat Sahaporn-udomkarn; Sombat Sopradit; Janjira Sopradit and Pada Buakhao. Nos said police are also looking into Pada's claim that someone had placed a Bt30 million price each on Pada's and Kittisak's heads. This threat was allegedly made via a disposable cellphone, Nos said.

Well that's it then, self defence but why did it take him so long to give himself up? Is he going to be charged with selling pirated goods and have they been sized or is he back at work?

"adding that those providing useful information would be kept as witnesses."

And keep the proceeds no doubt.......what a farce again!!

And on just this information you pass a negative judgment.

Perhaps you could turn Tuesday into a negative.

So much of a farce that the police are making a lot of arrests, perhaps you've spent too much time bashing to have kept up to date with developments.
