Thailand holiday with a Filipina - Any recent experiences?

Anyone who took his Filipina girlfriend for a holiday in Thailand recently? I'm looking for recent experiences and tips for departure from Manila airport regarding crazy airline staff who make problems and ban Pilipina ladies from traveling to Bangkok for no reason etc. Is it still that bad?

Why?? Such a waste

In case the Pinay lady not allowed to enter Thailand the airliner has to pay for the return trip, they don't want to take that risk. But most of all it's plain stupidity, arrogance and jealousy fro Filipino officials. They have never heard of ASEAN.

my friend brings his filipina gf to thailand often either travelling alone or separately. they have never had any problem except for the time she missed her flight because she was playing candyrush(?) on her ipad...

The problem usually occurs with Philippine Immigration staff, not airline staff.

The departing passenger needs:

- a return ticket (one-way tickets not allowed).

- an international ATM and/or sufficient cash for the duration of the trip

- if the trip is for any purpose other than tourism, an appropriate visa from the Thai Embassy in Manila.

I stand to be corrected on this, but I think that they can get a Tourist Visa on Arrival in Thailand if they meet the first two conditions I listed. Website(s)

are available giving more information.

Thanks everyone, well I think we just gonna try it. I don't live in Thailand anymore and will go to her country first, then we travel together to Thailand and I will bring her back home as well. (yes 'm a real gentleman I know)
