Featured Replies

Read month ago that are some flights exitsts from Chiang mai to chumpon or was it Bangkok?

What private airplane will operate here ?

Want go swimming to ko tao the air in chisng mai is real bad now to much traffic

Keep in mind that the Chumphon airport is 50 km from Muang Chumphon and there are no taxis or buses.

Sandman77 I agree the traffic in parts of Chiang Mai city is bad. Last night you posted that the air quality was bad. Are you in Chiang Mai?

Yesterday the visibility was crystal clear, a cool wind was blowing, top temp was about 24'c. When i awoke the mountain looked so vibrant I felt I could reach out and touch it.

So just to be clear Sandman77 you want to leave because the air quality is so bad?

Nok Air. I took a mini van to Tan Wan Laen beach, which is only 20km from airport, for 150 baht I am not sure if the vans will take you to where the boats leave. Why Koh Tao? I hope you're not thinking about committing "suicide". Boycott that island!!!

You can book with Nok Air which flies from Donmuang Airport to Chumphon 3 times a day. Many tour companies can arrange transfer to the Koh Tao ferry. Just Google around like http://www.chumphonairport.net/ . Its a bit stormy this time of year however.
