January 15, 201511 yr So, my g/f finally got through the whole K1 fiance visa process (about 10 months), passed the interview, and they mailed her passport/visa. Well, it's been 8 days and haven't received it. Sent an email to embassy, got tracking number, it was delivered and signed for on Jan 9th. By who, we don't know. The signature is just a squiggle. Apartment managers don't know who signed for it. It's not here. This is a <deleted>' nightmare, especially dealing with useless locals. Any advice? p.s. - I've been in BKK this whole time but my visa expires Jan 30. At this point, I really just want to throw my arms up and go home.
January 15, 201511 yr SRF Suggest you make a police report for the missing visa, then ask the U.S. Consulate if they will reissue the visa. http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visas/contact-information.html E-mail Inquiries: Email inquiries regarding immigrant and fiancé visas should be directed to: [email protected]. Please include the words “IV Inquiry” and your case number which would begin with the letters “BNK” followed by ten digits in the subject line. We do our best to respond to inquiries within three business days. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx You could also double up and send an email to the American Citizen Services section at the Consulate, they might check the Immigrant Visa Section for you: [email protected] Mac
