Sealbash Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 I am considering a move to within 10 km of Chaiyaphum city. Can anyone advise on the feasibility of drilling a water well? How deep, quality of water, expected delivery rate?
joeyg Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Spent about a month up in Yasothan at my buddies wife's family farm. Their well was about 60 to 75 feet deep. Water quality was excellent. Interesting we were getting estimates to have another well drilled drilled. In conversation it came up that neighbors around us were not getting such good tasting or good quality water. The well driller who had been in the business for 20 years was backed up a couple of months with work orders. So I'm guessing he knows his stuff. He said at least at our place 60 to 75 feet was the best water. Going deeper it would be more salty/sour. Not good for people or plants. However it's gotta be different every where. I had some experience putting wells in in the USA. There's never a guarantee what kind of water you'll get or if you will hit water at all. Best to talk with the neighbors and get some estimates and referrals. Good luck.
