Perhaps you should also know that Uber is illegal in BKK & vehicles not licensed or insured to carry passengers.

wrong. uber is alive and well, the discount taxi competitive service has suspended, but the high end cars are doing quite well.

As for the OP, he should leave. Koh Phan Ngan is not for him.

Goung a bit off topic here. You are the second person that tells me I'm wrong , but then proceeds to tell me that the operation has been suspended. Not talking high end cars, talking about the normal taxi service. Banned in Thailand.

Private cars not insured nor are the drivers licenced to carry fare paying passengers.
