Backing Up Firefox Bookmarks

Featured Replies

Bookmarks > Show all Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Backup > Save

That's it!

Easiest way (that I know of) is left click ‘bookmarks’, > left click ‘Show all bookmarks, > left click ‘import and backup and in the dropdown box left click ‘Backup.

Then just choose the location where you want to save the file to.

I use the FEBE add-on which secures as much as you want, when you want.

There's a FF setting where an html file of your bookmarks will be generated whenever shut the browser down.

Don't remember the menu command, though.

Why back them up, when you can sync them and use them on any computer you may use

In Firefox go here:

about:accounts?entrypoint=menupanel

Because this would involve saving a recovery key and several other steps.

The OP is already struggling to save his bookmarks... never mind encrypted, server-stored, multi-step synchronization. whistling.gifwhistling.gif

^^ Mozbackup looks unmaintained.

Have used Xmarks for years, easy and reliable - simple add on.

Best tool for backing up all of Firefox parameters is Mozbackup. I also use FEBE addon for automatic scheduled backups.

+1 for Mozbackup it also backs up all the mail and accounts on thunderbird
