From numerous locations, the hoards have started heading for Mae Rim. Expect staggered arrivals starting within the next hour. These are serious people, not just coming for a look, they have all their possessions packed and with them.

There's a lot of truth in what Puwa says however I think he's being over zealous by suggesting people should come and take a look, most residents would prefer I think that everyone continue to stay away.

Right, in fact I am raising money for my next project, the Mae Rim Institute for the Rehabilitation of Cynical Douchebags. Judging from your last several contributions to ThaiVisa, you could be the first client.

Sometime shortly after 2006 I began to extol the virtues of Chiang Mai as a place to live, most people at the time said, "boring, no bars, no Beach Road, no pie and chip places, too quiet"!

Now look at the place, clogged to death with traffic, over built and not nearly a shade of what it was. Of most interest to me is the posters who were previously (mostly) Pattaya residents and swore they would never move to CM, now look at you, you know who you are, as do I, as do others.

Perhaps best to not make mention of the good things in life too often, too many people end up wanting them!

Well, there is a new Gym being built behind the Mae Rim plaza. Stopped by yesterday..they will have a pool which looks like 25m plus gym and finished in May...so they say...

Guess now a good workout then pizza.)
