Opinion Thailand's Visa Shake-Up Threatens Retiree Paradise
I also have an SRRV as a back up, obtained in 2010 but renew online as I have not visited for 10 years. The Time Deposit Account of US$10,000 pays interest into a US$ savings account. A monthly penalty of USD 5.00 is supposedly applied if the account is not used (USS 60 pa) but the Bank has never levied any charges and advised that they have no intention of doing so. -

‘Putin clearly won’: Pundits say meeting was ‘bad for Americans’
Where are all the MAGA fans this morning telling us all Trump is " Winning " maybe there Internets crashed. I posted some time ago Trump fails on every Ceasefire he tries to end. This is yet another failure. Zelenski is going to the Whitehouse on Monday where Trump and his Clones will belittle Zelenski again and will blame him for carrying on the war against Russia. Has Trump got the backbone to travel to Kiev or is he to frightened to fly there. -

How to watch Premier League in Thailand
Just discovered True are not streaming Premier League this year despite charging me 499bht pm on an annual contract for the service! Apparently AIS have the rights despite having merged/partnered with True. True don't want to reduce my mthly bill! I now have to switch carriers to AIS and pay 699bht mthly despite not receiving a reduction from True so that's 1198bht pm AND buy an AIS phone to receive the service. True never cease to amaze me with their rip offs. -

‘Putin clearly won’: Pundits say meeting was ‘bad for Americans’
Who was in the White House in 2014 when Putin took Crimea? Who was in the White House in 2022 when Putin took Donbass? In both cases, BTW, the local population actually voted to stay with Russia. How many parts of Ukraine did Putin take while Trump 45 was in the White House? That's not a MAGA truth. Those are facts. -

Ronnie O Sullivan Saudi Arabia Masters
Ronnie O'Sullivan made history at the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters by making two maximum breaks in the same match, landing a huge bonus in the process. Snooker legend Ronnie O'Sullivan has once again proven his prowess on the green baize, scoring a thrilling 147 break at the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters and costing rival Thepchaiya Un-Nooh a hefty sum in bonuses. Not satisfied with just one maximum break, he went on to score another in the same match to nick a sigficant bonus from his rival. The tournament offers a £50,000 prize for a maximum break. Thailand's Un-Nooh was set to pocket the entire amount until 'The Rocket' stepped in, putting him in line for two-thirds of the prize. But the excitement didn't stop there. After doubling up during his victory over Chris Wakelin in Jeddah, O'Sullivan secured an additional £147,000 bonus, bringing his total winnings to over £180,000. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/othersport/2096130/Ronnie-O-Sullivan-147-Saudi-Arabia-Masters -

Traffic Pattaya's Helmet Dilemma: German Tourists Weigh In
What a crock of crap. The Thai police selectively enforce helmet laws for farang but not Thais. I walk Beach Rd every other day. It is a common sight to see Thai police in front of the main police station beside Central Festival mall stopping every bike driven by a farang and stopping NO bikes ridden by Thai. I once ask a Thai policeman (in Thai language) why only farang are stopped. The just smiled and shrugged his shoulders while scanning the street for the next farang to stop. Is seems as if the Police and TTA are working at cross purposes. "Welcome to the LOS" (Land of Smiles)
