What time does immigration for making proof or residence open/close?

Featured Replies

If I'm remembering correctly, you apply in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon. Is this correct? I'm coming from 75km away and want to time it right.

Thanks in advance.

If you are talking about a "certificate of residency", you can see many other threads on this. It is no longer done at the immigration office near the airport, but at another building across from Promenada mall. 500 baht, pick it up in a week has been standard for the last year or so.

As so many threads get opened regarding these letters, maybe a pinned topic would be appropriate?

500B is bribe - The Certificate is free, no fee but then you have to wait 1 month instead of 1 day/week but in your case 75 km away you should not support the bribes some people pay to this sick Immigration-system

When I obtained a Certificate of Residency in December (2014), I picked it up the following afternoon (not the same day). A friend obtained one about 4 weeks ago and he also was told he could get it the next afternoon.

If the guy taking your application and 500 baht doesn't tell you (he likely will), just ask when it will be available.
