Car with driver from Ubon to Surin - expensive ?

I plan to fly from BKK to Ubon. Then I want to go straight to Surin.

I could take the bus but if a car isn't over the top it might be nice.

Anyone have any estimates ?

At a guess 1500/1800b. Most cars do Ubon > Sisaket for 1000b and that's 1/2 way.

Ok - thanks very very much for that.

I may reconsider the train again.

My only experience on the train was bkk to Chang Mai. They locked the door to the sleeper car and I felt trapped there all night.

Some supplies might make the difference.
