I know, its the same old thing. But since i got True docsis in Khon Kaen because they are to only one with a free line at my new home im pissed daily.

I cant even watch any stream. I cant use Uploaded.to. I cant use usenet. I cant use anything... Because of I dont have any speed. Of course things like youtube, steam and Thai sites working but anything else... NO WAY.

I called True, they came....They mad a new thicker line to my house.... 30mbit ... doesnt change anything for me...

Downloading a game from steam ... 3-5mb

Downloading from from outside of Thailand 5-23kb

Thats really not funny and I really dont know what I can do now... I cant live like that.

But my questions are:

Is there anything I could do or try?

Is there a way to find out who can provide the best internet where I am, because I heard its not always the same everywhere.

Or is it just waisting time and I have to move away from there?

Is there anyworkaround that I can at least download something?!

Thank you very much!

I have CAT in NBL. It works ok for the first 3 days of the month, then I reach my limit and it is absolute crap.

Thinking about trying the AIS Aircard.

If your local connection are hit and miss then you need to take a look at the signal level hitting your box. DOCSIS Cable Signal Boosters have been known to help with weak QAM signaling issues.

IF you get consistently FAST connection to local and mirrored international services from with Thailand then your equipment is working fine. The issue is on the ISP side, with them throttling, miss-routing or using overly congested International pathways.

Sometimes you can use Proxy or VPN Services to force alternate routes (i.e.: Hola!, Tunnelbear, HotspotShield, or similar free/paid) and choose a company/country combination that is faster than what True gives you. I use proxy services routed through Singapore, Europe or the US when I have connectivity or major speed issues, othwise my native TOT Fiber Optic connection is just fine.

It may also be that your ISP is purposely throttling any P2P, UseNet or other FileSharing services. In this case a VPN would help.

What "Limit" would that be?

I would say that if you don't like being throttled back to a Fair-Use-Speed after expending your 'limit' and are unwilling to pay for MULTIPLE 12GB sim card accounts then getting Mobile Internet isn't going to help.
