Hi guys

Well the Mrs had her interview at the Oz embassy yesterday and by what she told me it wasn't too painfull at all. She gave them the extra documents they requested...latest bank statements etc, and that was it.

So what happens now? we just sit and wait? what is the usually time frame between the interview and the decision?

Also this is my second Thai marrage and spouse visa. This was over 10 years ago and the marrage didn't last more than 2 years. What are the ramifications of a second spouse visa? does it affect the usual time frame?

Yes guys...I came back for more :o

Any help will be extremely appreciated

It wont make any difference as it was so long ago...

Yes you sit and wait for about 3 months or so unless they contact you or your lady again. The average time span from application to grant is usually about 3.5 months. However every application is different so waitng times can vary too.

We waited 3 months and 3 weeks after the interview.

Thanks guys

The last time it was only 2 weeks after the interview and we got the visa but back then the whole process was a lot easier. Back then we submitted the application one week after we were married (thats all it took to put it together), about 5 weeks later we had the intervew (back then both parties had to be intervewed, same time but in seperate rooms), then 2 weeks later visa granted.

This time around it took 3 months to complete the application properly and even then, I felt like I left something out.

The Mrs is a little disapointed at the long wait and it is hard watching my son grow up on webcam but there is nothing much we can do about that. On the 8th Sep I am flying to LoS for a couple of weeks. I can't wait, I havn't seen them both for 5 months.

Cheers guys

Thanks for that

Now the waiting game is on I keep thinking about things I should have added to the application. I think we got it all covered but is was just reading on another thread its best to add original bank statements...i gave then internet banking print outs.

Do you think this could be a future problem?

No...the embassy requests that you dont submit original documents unless asked for them. They do require certified copies of documents.
