bapak Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Trying to help out an employee. She was born in South Africa. Unmarried. 3 years ago she had 3 years son in U.K. Father was Australian and acknowledges being father in writing and pays support. He was not added to the UK Birth Certificate. Father will assist in being added as required. What must now be done to add him in Birth Certificate? The child will also have claim to Australian citizenship. That part I believe that be achieved once UK Birth Certificate is amended.
WhamBam Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Parents aren’t married If you want the father’s name on the birth record, fill in an ‘Application for the re-registration of a child’s birth’ form and take it to the register office. If one of you can’t be there, that person also needs to fill in a ‘Statutory declaration of acknowledgement of parentage’ form and send it to the General Register Office. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/statutory-declaration-of-acknowledgement-of-parentage-form https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/application-to-re-register-a-childs-birth-and-add-the-natural-fathers-details
