What is your experience with HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw

I am interested to buy a printer (plus copier & scanner) and found HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw for Baht 13,290.

It's a multifunction color laser printer (print, copy, scan & fax) WiFi capable.

My printing needs are minimal to say the least, probably a couple of pages per week/month. Maybe school requirements of my daughter add a few more pages. I was told that the ink did not dry out in laser printers.

Please advise your experience.

Laser is a good choice for your limited printing needs, though I cant comment on the actual printer.

Inkjet would dry out all the time but laser wont. I have a black laser printer that is still on its original starter cartridge from 3 years ago.

Kudos for the reply KittenKong..So, your replacement cartridges are still intact.

The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw comes with three years warranty, if anything goes wrong, touch wood.

I really don't know how old or new that model is. Maybe that's why there are no comments. But hopefully, owners of other HP printers will comment.

I don't know about that model but my experience with HP printers is good.

You mentioned wifi and I now find that indispensable. I had no idea how much I'd like it but no more cables and being able to place it anywhere in the house is just too handy. Even just placing it across a room with no cable is great. I wouldn't look again at anything that wasn't wifi capable.

FWIW if you don't know, you'll probably have to go into device manager and enable it as wifi after you install the driver and start it up. I tripped over that for a bit the first time.

Thanks NeverSure,

I'll look into this WiFi activation.

I also not sure how to use the fax which is one of the included features. Fax is out-of-date communication technology, but who knows, maybe one day I'll need to send an occasional fax. So, the printer should somehow be connected to the telephone line. That is what I still remember from the good old days.

I may have finally wised up about printers. If you aren't careful, you can end up spending

a fortune on replacement ink cartridges.

I bought a Canon printer with the side tanks and i absolutely love it.

I do not do a lot of printing,,,,,, but the cartridges always seemed to be going empty.

My last (and i do mean last) HP ended up costing a lot more than the Canon that I really enjoy.

You will like the price, too.
