Am flexible on starting date between Dec 28 and Jan 7.

The far north of the island has little to offer; a bit too quiet and a long way to travel for shopping etc. There’s a good beach at Nai Yang, not far from the airport (2 minutes!), or at Bang Tao, a little further south - Plenty of good accommodation to find there

i often reccomend the area I live in. Smaller ... nice beach .. a little more central to the nicer beaches and close to Patong. Great little mostly Muslim village.

Geoff ... are you in Nai Harn perchance? <<people reccomend what they know most>>

Try these two

It was kinda cute. I went there to take a look when I tried to book vacation for my folks. Not very close to beach though.

I have nothing to do with this company. Just thought it might help.

Hi jdinasia,

I'm in Thalang (Ban Liphon) actually, about 15klms from any beach. Lived in Patong and Rawai for a few years but love it here away from all the action.

Try houseinphuket.com

They are a bit expensive for the lower budget stuff but have some nice houses/villas with pools if you have some cash to splash.
