Where to buy a Kayak in Samui?

Featured Replies

I've seen some at the store just North of Nathon, but there's not much selection, and the prices seem rather high.

I'm looking for a two-seater, a used one would be OK, a new one would be OK as well.

Any suggestions where to look?

Thanks.

When this topic came up two or three years ago, it was suggested to look in Phuket for Hobbie Kayaks... (perhaps google search?)

The local shop you mention, did not seem slightest bit interested in sales or service at that time... their other location near Lamai, I think is now closed....

There is another brand that is quite common here, at many resorts, Brand name not coming to me ... but perhaps ask at a place that has them for rent, they may tell you!

I have a set of paddles, if anyone interested in buying! wink.png PM me!

The large sports ( forgot name ) shop in Central festival has one. Go one level up and its inside on the left as u go in the door.

Maybe worth a look

You mean Supersports? I'll try that, thanks. Though I doubt they'll be cheaper than the guy in Nathon...

They do ship things here ... you don't need to go to Phuket.... That's why I suggested a Google....search facepalm.gif

If I remember correctly they have a delivery system from Hobbie Cat... the post has probably been archived.

The boat shop between BigC and Bophut traffic lights has some.

You might be thinking of Feel Free? Most of the resorts get them off Tuangyot, which is probably the same place the OP is thinking of on the way out of Nathon. His prices are actually pretty low and are listed here http://samuikayaks.com/catalogue (click the models available)

The last time I talked to Tuangyot, a few years ago, he had one or two used kayaks he was using for rentals that he was willing to sell.
