Just s quick question about UK tourist visas

Can you apply for a UK tourist visa while on a tourist visa in Thailand? Is that possible? My girlfriend (Fillipino) will be applying to come to UK with myself and our 9 month old daughter (who is a Uk passport holder). After our holiday, we will leave from the UK to Manila so I can begin a new job

Thanks for any help you can give me

As your girlfriend is a tourist in Thailand, not resident, then the simple answer is; no.

Except in urgent, compassionate cases UK visa applicants have to apply in their country of residence.

She can apply for a visit visa in Thailand as long as she is here legally. She cannot apply for a settlement visa unless she is resident here. This si the guidance on visit visa applications :

Applications for visit visas and EEA Family Permits

These can be made at any post designated by the Secretary of State to accept applications for entry clearance. The applicant will need to be in the third country or territory in accordance with that country or territory’s immigration laws.

She will be here on a tourist visa- is that ok? It will only be a 1 month visit visa.

Thanks for help

That's fine, but you have to be aware that the visa might not be issued during the 30 days that she is here ( depending on how quickly she can apply after arriving in Thailand). If there is any delay ( for instance, if the Embassy refer it back to Manila) then she could have a problem as her passport will be at the Embassy. 30 days should be enough, but why can't she apply in Manila to be safe ?

Thanks for help again.

The issue is that we have a young daughter and I don't to be apart from them so applying in Bangkok is the best option.

We have had lots of visa issues (been scammed by agency) but think that should be sorted soon and she will have a double entry tourist visa which I think allows 60 days

Thanks for the correction, Tony.

And apols to David for my error.
